Why? Decimals are just the same as any other numbers. If you are using Pythagoras, just substitute the numbers. You might need to use a calculator, and you may end up with a numerical approximation rather than the exact answer -- but a number is a number is a number whether it is a natural number or an integer or a fraction or a decimal.
