Question 1166379: A 15 kg cat accelerates from rest to a velocity of +20m/s in a time of 2 seconds.
a) what is the cat's average acceleration (answer 10m/s^2)
b) what is the average force the cat applies in this movement (ANSWER 150n)
could u show me the approach!! thanks

.

(a) the average acceleration a = is the velocity change divided by the time

         a =  =  =  = 10 m/s^2.

(b) The average force, according to the Newton second law, is the product

     of the acceleration by the mass

         = m*a = 15 kg * 10 m/s^2 = 150 newtons.
