a^2+b^2=c^2
a^2+40^2=50^2
This is a 3-4-5 right triangle so we know a=30 but we will do the math. Remember this for the SAT test so you don't have to do the math.
a^2+1600=2500
a^2=900
a=30
30+6=36 m Answer
