One machine can handle 41000 hits. The expected number of hits at the site 24 months from now is today's hit rate + 2800*24.
Set up a ratio as follows:
1/41000 = x/(105000 + (24*2800))
Then solve for x
(105000 + (24*2800))/41000 = x
(105000 + (24*2800))/41000 = x
(105000 + 67200)/41000 = x
4.2 = x
Since you can't buy 0.2 of a machine, you'll need 5 machines to handle the load. They don't say how many machines the company currently has now, but if they are handling 105000 successfully they must have at least 3 machines now. So they 'may' need to buy 2 more.
