Question 957618: 4 times the first of three consecutive EVEN integers is 6 more then the product of 2 and the 3rd integer.Find the integers. I keep getting odd numbers for my integers instead of even. I tried this, but I must be setting it up wrong....
integers are : x, x + 2, x + 4
set it up like this : 4(x) = 2(x + 4) + 6
that does not work....what am I doing wrong ?

set it up like this : 4(x) = 2(x + 4) + 6
that does not work....what am I doing wrong ?

4x = 2x+8 + 6 = 2x + 14
x = 7
