x+y=29
x=29-y
2x=y-11 substitute for x.
2(29-y)=y-11
58-2y=y-11 Add 2y+11 to each side.
69=3y Divide each side by 3.
23=y ANSWER 1:The larger integer is 23.
x=29-y=29-23=6 ANSWER 2: The smaller integer is 6.
CHECK:
2x=y-11
2(6)=23-11
12=12
