Let x = the smaller number
x+2 = the larger number
Two consecutive odd integers have a sum of 24.
x+x+2=24
2x+2=24
2x=22
x=11
substitute x with 11
11+2 = 13
The numbers are 11 and 13
(11)(13)=143
143 =143
