Find three consecutive even integers in which the greatest integer is 17 less than 2 times the smallest
------------------
Note:: 2 times the smallest would be even.
But, 17 less than that would be odd.
----------------------
1st:: 2x-2
2nd:: 2x
3rd:: 2x+2
-------
Equation:
2x+2 = 2(2x-2)-17
2x+2 = 4x-4-17
2x+2 = 4x-21
2x = 23
x = 11.5
-------
1st:: 2x-2 = 23-2 = 21 (not an even #)
Ans:: Problem conditions are contradictory.
