three consecutive odd integers: x, x+2, x+4
4(x+2) = [x + (x+4)] + 2
4x + 8 = 2x + 6
2x = -2
x = -1
The three consecutive odd integers are: -1, 1, 3
And...checking
4 = 2 + 2
