Question 917398: Four consecutive integers have the property that the sum of 16 less the first number, 15 less than three times the second number, 4 more than the third, and half of the fourth is 680. Find the integers.
Answer by CubeyThePenguin(3113) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
consecutive integers: x, (x+1), (x+2), (x+3)
(x - 16) + 3(x+1)-15 + (x+2)+4 + (x+3)/2 = 680
x - 16 + 3x-12 + x+6 + (x+3)/2 = 680
5x-22 + (x+3)/2 = 680
10x - 44 + x + 3 = 1360
11x = 1401
The value of x is not an integer.
