Question 879123: A number is 2 more than twice another. Their product is 60. What are the
numbers?

Answer by ewatrrr(24785)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(2n+2)n = 60
n^2 + n = 30
n^2 + n - 30 = 0
(n+6)(n-5) = 0, n = -6,5
n = -6, (2n+2) = 10
n = 5, (2n+2) = 12
Numbers are either -6 & 10 0r 5 & 12
