Actually it's simple. :)
Let x- be the first number
x+1 -be the second number NOTE : since it is consecutive
x+2 - be the third number it is 2 because it is x+1+1
GETS?
x+x+1+x+2=24
3x=21
x=7
The middle term therefore is 8 because 7+1
The three consecutive numbers are 7,8,9 add them up they sum to 24. :)
HOPE that helps!
