Question 812868: The sum of an odd integer and 3 times the next greater integer is 2 less than 4 times the greater integer. Find the integer.
Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x+3*(x+2)=4*(x+2)-2
This is true of all integers.
If next greater integer (x+2) is also odd then all integers are the solution
if you mean the next greater integer (x+1) is even then there is no solution.
