given f(x)=x-4 and g(x) =3x+1, what is f(g(x))?
.
start with:
f(x)=x-4
substitute the value of g(x) for 'x':
f(g(x))=(3x+1)-4
f(g(x))=3x+1-4
f(g(x))=3x-3
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x) = x - 4 g(x) = 3x + 1
f(g(x)) = (3x + 1) - 4
= 3x - 3
Hope this helps.
