Question 755351: the sum of two consecutive even numbers plus the next odd number = 161..
need algebra equation to solve algebra problem
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First even number = n
Next even number = n + 2
Next odd number = n + 3
Therefore, n + n+2 + n+3 = 161
Total n's and numbers
3n + 5 = 161
3n = 161 - 5
3n = 156
n = 156/3
n = 52
Proof:
n = 52
n + 2 = 54
n + 3 = 55
Total 161
Hope this helps.
