We are given
Find 2 consecutive odd integers such that three times the first is eight more than the second integer.
let i be our first odd integer, then i+2 is the second odd integer
we now have
3i = (i+2)+8
3i = i+10
2i =10
i = 5
and the solution to the problem is 5 and 7
