Answer by CubeyThePenguin(3113) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
consecutive even integers: (x-2), x, (x+2)
2(x-2)(x) = (x+2)^2 + 5(x+2)
2x^2 - 4x = x^2 + 4x + 4 + 5x + 10
2x^2 - 4x = x^2 + 9x + 14
x^2 - 13x - 14 = 0
(x - 14)(x + 1) = 0
x = 14, x = -1
x is even ----> integers are 12, 14, and 16.
