Question 726517: find 3 consecutive odd integers such that the product of the first and third ones is 7 more than 10 times the middle one
Answer by CubeyThePenguin(3113) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
consecutive odd integers: (x-2), x, (x+2)
(x-2)(x+2) = 7 + 10x
x^2 - 4 = 7 + 10x
x^2 - 10x - 11 = 0
(x - 11)(x + 1) = 0
x = 11, x = -1
sets of integers: (9, 11, 13), (-1, 1, 3)
