x+y=-9 ��..(1)
When the smalller integer is subtracted form the greater integer, the difference si 1
x-y=1 ��(2)

Add (1) and (2)
x+y=-9 ��..(1)
x-y=1 ��(2)

2x=-8
x=-8/2
x=-4
Put the value of x in (1)
x+y=-9 ��..(1)
-4+y=-9
y=-9+4
y=-5
Greater integers =-4
Smaller = -5
