Subtract the complex expressions, and simplify.
(-4.5 + 4.4i) – (3.2 – 9.6i)
removing the brackets, that have a neg in front changes the signs
-4.5 + 4.4i - 3.2 + 9.6i
Group like terms
-4.5 - 3.2 + 4.4i + 9.6i
Add like terms
-7.7 + 14i
