Question 490774: Four times the smaller of two consecutive odd integers is the same as 73 less than 5 times the larger. Find the integers.

Let x+1 is smaller odd integer
and x+3 is larger odd integer
4 times of the smaller integer = 4(x+1)
5time of the larger integer=5(x+3)
Condition says
4(x+1)=73-5(x+3)
4x+4=73-5x-15
4x+5x=73-15-4
9x=54
Divide by 9 both sides
9x/9=54/9
x=6
Smaller odd integer = x+1
= 6+1
= 7
Larger odd integer = x+3
=6+3
=9
