Question 432416: The sum of three consecutive integers is 42. Find the integers
Let the first consecutive number be x
so the next number would be x+1 and the last number x+2
so....
x+ x+1 +x+2=42
3x+3=42
3x=39
x=39/3
x=13
so x is 13, x+1=13+1=14 , x+2=13+2=14
