Find two consecutive even integers
x, (x+2)
one-third of the smaller number is equal to one-fourth of the largest integer.
x = (x+2)
Multiply both sides by 12
4x = 3(x+2)
4x = 3x + 6
4x - 3x = 6
x = 6 and 8 are the integers
