Translate into an algebraic equation and solve: Find two consecutive even integers such that twice the larger is 14 less than 5 times the smaller.
let x & x+2 be the consequtive even numbers
2(x+2)=5x-14
2x+4 = 5x-14
2x-5x=-14-4
-3x=-18
/-3
x= 6
the numbers are 6 & 8
