Hi
Let x and (x+2)represent the two consecutive even integers
Question States***
x(x+2) = x + (x+2)+34
solving for x
x^2 + 2x = 2x + 36
x^2 -36 = 0
x^2 = 36
x = ± 6
x = -6 the two consecutive even integers ar -6,-4
x = 6 the two consecutive even integers ar 6,8
CHECKING our Answer(s)
6*8 = 14 + 34
(-6)(-4) = 24 = -10 + 34
