Question 376042: (t^4-2t^2+4t-5)/(t^2-3)
can some one walk me through this

Answer by vksarvepalli(154)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

t^2-3 ] t^4-2t^2+4t-5 [ t^2+1

t^4-3t^2
--------------
t^2+4t-5
t^2+0t-3
-------------
4t-2
so,
t^4-2t^2+4t-5 = (t^2-3)(t^2+1) + (4t-2)

so (t^4-2t^2+4t-5)/(t^2-3) = (t^2+1) + (4t-2)/(t^2-3)
