Question 368793: Find three consecutive intergers such that the sum of twice the smallest and 3 times the largest is 126.
I've attempted, and i know the answer is 24, 25, and 26. i just dont know how to get the work, cause i need to know how to do the work so i can solve all the other problems later.
Answer by neatmath(302)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
 Let x be the first integer. The next two consecutive integers are x+1 and x+2, thus we are given:
2*(x)+3*(x+2)=126
2x+3x+6=126
5x+6=126
5x=120
x=24
Thus, the three consecutive integers are 24, 25, and 26, as you had suspected.
I hope this helps!
