Let the integers be x and x+2 (notice they are even numbers)...now set up with facts from the problem...
x = 5 + (1/2)(x + 2)
now to clear the fraction, multiply everything by two...
2x = 10 + (x + 2)
2x = x + 12
x = 12
x + 2 = 14
