Answer by ehollins1(8) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
first remember the following rule: PEMDAS
Please - Parentheses: complete everything inside the parentheses.
Excuse - Exponents: after completing the work inside the parentheses solve all exponential problems
My - Multiply: after solving all the exponents. Multiply
Dear - Divied: then divide if any are available
Aunt - Add:
Sally - Subtract:
=(1/4)^3+17/32-1/2*(1/8)^2
=(1/4)^3+17/32-1/2*(1/8*1/8)
=(1/4)^3+17/32-1/2*1/64
=(1/4*1/4*1/4)+17/32-1/2*1/64
=1/64+17/32-1/2*1/64
=1/64+17/32-1/128
=1/64/+34/64-1/128
=35/64-1/128
=69/128
