then i subtracted 6x from both sides and got . then i subract 8 from both sides, and get . plese help me solve this question.

Subtract 20+10x from both sides to get:
x^2 -4x - 12 = 0

Factor:
x^2 - 6x + 2x -12 = 0
x(x-6) + 2(x-6) = 0
(x-6)(x+2) = 0

x = 6 or x = -2
