b(b + 16)(b + 3) = 0
please someone show me how this = zero

There are 3 factors. If the product is zero, one of them has to be zero.
------------
b = 0 will do it.
------
b + 16 = 0 --> b = -16
------
b + 3 = 0 --> b = -3
One of those 3 has to be true.
