If x represents the smallest integer, then which equation could be used to solve the problem? these numbers below are the answers to this question but i'm not getting it.
Answer A 2x + x + 2 = 25
Answer B 2x + x + 4 = 25
Answer C 2x + 2x + 4 = 25

Let's set it up this way and it might make more sense.
Let x be the smallest number. x+2 would be the next and x+4 is the largest number.
OK so adding the smallest and largest would be x+(x+4), right? It says twice the smallest so that would be:
2x+(x+4)=25
Hint: the word "is" in math problems usually means "=". )
