Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you have two spinners each with black, white, and grey sections. the grey section is twice as large as the black or white section.
P(black) = 1/4
P(white) = 1/4
P(grey) = 1/2
--------------------------
if you spin them both, what is the chance that one will come up black and one grey?
---
The spinner results are independent.
P(black on one and grey on the other) = P(black)*P(grey) = 1/4 * 1/2 = 1/8
