If you have five consecutive integers such that the even integers add up to 48 what is the smallest odd integer?
------------
1st: 2x-2
2nd: 2x-1
3rd: 2x
4th: 2x+1
5th: 2x+2
----------------
Evens are 2x-2,2x, and 2x+2
--------------------------------
Equation:
2x-2+2x+2x+2 = 48
6x = 48
x = 8
---------------
Smallest odd it 2x-1 = 16-1 = 15
