A.) the surface temperature of the sun is 9.6 x 10^3 degrees fahrenheit. the core temperature of the sun is 2.8 x 10^5 times greater than the surface temperature. what is the core temperature of the sun? solve the problem, putting your answer in correct scientific notation.
---------------
9.6E3*2.8E5 = 9.6*2.8E8
= 26.88E8
= 2.688*10^9
The "E" notation is easier to type, and is commonly used instead of the cumbersome "*10^ "
--------------------
B.)convert the answer from a above to decimal notation.
= 2,688,000,000 deg F
It's a big number, but it's probably not accurate or true.
