solve the following equations. remember to show how you use each inverse operation.
6(4x+2)=54+2x
Use distributive law to get:
24x + 12 = 54 + 2x
Add -2x to both sides to get:
22x + 12 = 54
Add -12 to both sides to get:
22x = 42
Multiply both sides by (1/22) to get:
x = 42/22
Reduce the fraction:
x = 21/11
