Before, you solve this you need to expand the bracket
32a - 8 = 24 (Group like terms)
32a = 24 + 8 ( This means that if a negative number crosses the equal to sign, it changes to positive and likewise
32a = 32
Divide both sides by 24
a = 1
Hence, a = 1
