3 consecutive even integers: x, (x+2), (x+4)
:
four times the second is eight less than the third
4(x+2) - 8 = (x+4)
:
4x + 8 - 8 = x + 4
:
4x - x = 4
:
3x = 4
Obviously. not an integer so there is no solution
