Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
X^2+10^2=26^2
X^2+100=676
X^2=676-100
X^2=576
X=SQRT576
X=24 FT. IS THE HEIGHT OF THE TOP OF THE LADDER.

Answer by oscargut(2103)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
h=height
10^2+h^2=26^2
then
h^2=26^2-10^2=576
so h= sqrt(576)=24
high of the ladder is 24-ft
