Question 1285: Find two consecutive EVEN integers whose sum is 120. I know the answer but not how to solve it and show the work!
Answer by abhinav75(8) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let the numbers be n and n+2, both of which are even.
now, n + (n+2) = 120
so, 2n + 2 = 120
so, 2n = 118
so, n = 59..
now, n was even, which cannot be obtained from this case.
Therefore, this problem has no solution
