LET X & X+1 BE THE 2 INTEGERS.
X+2(X+1)=38
X+2X+2=38
3X=38-2
3X=36
X=36/3
X=12 ANSWER FOR THE SMALLER INTEGER.
12+1=13 FOR THE SECOND INTEGER.
PROOF.
12+2*13=38
12+26=38
38=38
