You sort of started with the right idea, but you didn't quite get your expression of the three ODD integers correctly.

When you are talking about odd integers, remember that once you have selected one, the next consecutive one is 2 larger. Example: Choose 5. Then the next odd integer is 5 + 2 = 7.

So, if the first of the three consecutive odd integers is x, the next consecutive one must be x + 2, and the one after that is (x + 2) + 2, or x + 4.

Now lets add these three numbers:
