The difference is an even number, cannot be 21.

It should be easy to see that the problem is nonsense....

The difference between consecutive odd numbers is 2.
The difference between twice the larger and twice the smaller is equal to twice the difference between the two.
Twice 2 is 4; it will never be 21.
