Question 1098129: Hey, I have a problem I've been stuck on for a while and can't seem to solve: Find three consecutive even integers such that twice the largest, increased by eight, equals twelve.
I've already tried doing it multiple different ways (example: x+x+2+3(x+4)+8=12) and I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I just can't seem to set up the equation right. If you guys could help that would be amazing, thank you so much!
