Question 108201: find three consecutive integers such that when twice the second is subtracted from three times the third, results in 74 ?
Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
INTEGERS=X,X+1,& X+2.
3(X+2)-2(X+1)=74
3X+6-2X-2=74
X=74-4
X=70 ANSWER FOR THE FIRST INTEGER.
70+1=71 NEXT INTEGER.
70+2=72 LARGEST INTEGER.
PROOF
3*72-2*71=74
216-142=74
74=74
