Question 1076789: The sum of three consecutive integers is five less than twice the largest integer. What is the largest integer?
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
integers are x, x+1 and x+2
They add to 3x+3 and that is 2(x+2)-5
3x+3=2x+4-5=2x-1
x=-4
integers are -4,-3,-2
They add to- 9 and that is 5 less than 2(-2).
