LET X BE THE SMALLER EVEN INTEGER.
LET (X+2) BE THE LARGER EVEN INTEGER.
(X+2)=2X+20
X-2X=20-2
-X=18
X=-18 ANSWER FOR THE SMALLER EVEN INTEGER.
-18+2=-16 ANSWER FOR THE LARGER EVEN INTEGER.
PROOF
-18+2=2*-18+20
-16=-36+20
-16=-16
