You can put this solution on YOUR website!
what is the answer in this question.
:
1.find the 4 consecutive numbers whose sum is 130
designate the numbers as: x, (x+1), (x+2), (x+3)
x + (x+1) + (x+2) + (x+3) = 130
Combine like terms and you have:
4x + 6 = 130
4x = 130 - 6
4x = 124
x = 124/4
x = 31
The numbers will be: 31, 32, 33, 34; find the sum on calc to confirms this
:
2.find the 4 consecutive even number whose sum is 596
Designate the numbers as x, (x+2), (x+4), (x+6)
x + (x+2) + (x+4) + (x+6) = 596
4x + 12 = 596
Do this the same way as we did the first one
:
3.find 3 odd number whose sum is 279
designate the numbers as: x, (x+2), (x+4)
x + (x+2) + (x+4) = 279
The same procedure on this one
