Question 972646: The distribution of weights of a sample of 1400 cargo containers is symmetric and bell shaped. According to the Empirical Rule, what percent of the weights will lie:
Between X and X bar +2s?
Below X bar -2s?

I'm assuming it is between Xbar and Xbar +2s, and that would be 47.7% (empirical rule would say 47.5%)
below Xbar-2s would be 2.5% by the empirical rule.
