Question 972303: Steve has four older brothers and no sisters. What is the likelihood that Steve's mother had any daughters?
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20077) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Assuming that "no sisters" means "no half sisters" (from another marriage), then the probability is 0. All false statements have a probability of 0. All true statements have a probability of 1. All statements unknown to be true or false have a probability somewhere in between. Probabilities depend on what is known, and can change with increased knowledge. So probabilities can be personal things.
